I’m a lifelong Pittsburgher, a huge fan of our city, our teams and our spirit! I enjoy showing off the city and its beautiful suburbs to clients who are considering a move into our town. I also love representing long-time homeowners, with whom I can share my affection for the nature of the city, the nooks and crannies of the many neighborhoods, and the openhearted friendliness of the neighbors.
For me, this is my “second” career in real estate. I moved away from Pittsburgh in the 1980’s, following my job in the federal government to Philadelphia, and while living there, moved into a career in commercial real estate. While I enjoyed this position, I missed Pittsburgh and my family, and made the decision to return and to start my own business as a birth doula, which is someone who supports the needs of a woman throughout the time before, during and after delivery of a baby. These avenues may seem unrelated—but they all emphasize partnering with people at interesting and often very exciting transitions in their lives and educating myself about their goals.
I had known Dawn Bierker, Team Lead at the Bierker Group, for six years and found her enthusiasm for the industry infectious, inspiring me to again pursue working as a real estate agent. So, I obtained my license and joined The Bierker Group. Working on the team is a great opportunity to learn from colleagues who are very experienced in residential real estate, while utilizing all of my hard-earned and well-honed customer service and support skills in listening to clients and helping them to obtain their goals- whether those goals are finding the perfect home or finding a buyer for the home they’ve enjoyed for years. I’m very pleased to have returned to a career path in real estate after years away from it. I feel lucky to be making the acquaintance of lots of Pittsburghers, and welcoming so many new people to our fantastic town.
As I expand my expertise, I find that I am developing a sub-specialty in working with buyers relocating to Pittsburgh and clients buying or selling condominium units.
I’ve got an adolescent son at home, and he, his father and I are avid skiers and whitewater rafting enthusiasts. We spend as much time as we can enjoying outdoor activities together in the Laurel Highlands.
